Personal Statement

Attorney Woo Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and soon afterwards moved to Hampton Roads, Virginia, where he was raised. Immediately upon graduation from high school, Woo enlisted in the United States Army as a crypto linguist specializing in Persian/Farsi. During his years of service in the Army, he served multiple deployments including a 15-month deployment to Iraq. He received an honorable discharge from the Army and thereafter attended college and law school.

Woo is a fighter in the literal sense of the word. Not only is he proficient in MMA, he can relate to our personal injury clients because he has suffered through two major accidents in his life. Those accidents left him with the ironclad determination to help people that have been injured by the wrongdoings or mistakes of others. Woo is passionate about helping others. He is a former prosecutor that knows how to work criminal, traffic, and DUI cases from the inside.

Woo has developed a reputation for providing the highest quality representation to each one of his clients, while maintaining a strong working relationship with law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges alike.

Experience

Attorney Woo Kim is a trial lawyer with substantial experience handling personal injury matters and serious criminal, traffic, and DUI matters. Early in his legal career, he held an internship at the Newport News Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. After passing his bar exam, he began his practice working as a personal injury attorney at a prominent local personal injury law firm. There, he represented numerous plaintiffs that were injured in vehicle accidents. After that, he worked as a criminal defense attorney at a prominent local criminal defense law firm. There, he defended serious criminal, traffic, and DUI cases. After that, he worked as a prosecutor for the York County Commonwealth's Attorney’s Office. There, he prosecuted serious misdemeanor and felony cases.

Today, Woo is both a personal injury plaintiff’s attorney and a criminal, traffic, and DUI defense attorney at Huff Law where he utilizes his experience as a former prosecutor to obtain the best possible results for each one of our clients. Woo is known for his experience handling complex personal injury cases and serious criminal, traffic, and DUI cases.
